Australian Camps Association National Conference - 'Telling Our Story'
The Australian Camps Association is delighted to be able to announce the venue and dates for what promises to be a truly innovative and exciting program. The venue will be ACA members Oaks Oasis Resort in Caloundra, Qld and the dates will be Thursday 27th to Friday 28th June 2019. These dates will lead into both the Queensland and Victorian term 2 school holidays, so perhaps this will be an opportunity for some members and their families to stay on and enjoy some of the Sunshine Coast's gorgeous winter sunshine post conference. The Conference theme will be 'Telling Our Story' - so important considering that we often find that while the media is happy to report on negative issues to do with the outdoors, it seems far harder to generate airspace focusing on the many positives of the led outdoor experience. The Australian Camps Association has supported considerable research over recent years that can confirm the educational, social, physical and mental health benefits of what we do in our camps and businesses. The 2019 National Conference will present the results of this research, together with a range of other inspiring sessions that will enable our sector to strongly express the value of the camps and the outdoor activities sector - to the general public, state and federal government, fundraisers, grant writers, schools and potential new business streams.
